# 🧬 3. CORE GAMEPLAY

🐉 **3.1 What is a Nex?**

Nex are the core creatures and the most important assets in the Nex Legends ecosystem.

💰 **Daily Yield (Earning Power):**\
Each Nex has a fixed income generation rate, producing a specific amount of TON every 24 hours. This value is determined by its **Rarity tier**.

📦 **Ownership Mechanism:**\
You can own an unlimited number of Nex. Collecting multiple copies of the same Nex increases your total daily income.

🌍 **Ecosystem & Maps:**\
Each Nex species is tied to a specific region or map. You must explore the correct area to increase your chances of hunting them or collecting their corresponding **Shards**.

💎 **3.2 Rarity Tiers (Rarity Levels)**\
The rarity system is a direct measure of a Nex’s income-generating performance:

| Rarity    | Color     | Daily Yield Performance |
| --------- | --------- | ----------------------- |
| Common    | ⚪ Grey    | Lowest                  |
| Rare      | 🔵 Blue   | Low                     |
| Epic      | 🟣 Purple | Medium                  |
| Legendary | 🟡 Yellow | High                    |
| Mythic    | 🔴 Red    | Highest                 |

🏹 **3.3 Hunt — Hunting Mechanism**

Hunting is the core activity that allows you to expand your collection and increase your daily income flow.

**Preparation:**

* **Consumable item:** You need at least 1 Capsule to perform each hunt.
* **Hunting location:** Each land (map) has its own ecosystem, which directly affects the **encounter rates** of different rarity tiers.

**Hunting Pool System:**

To personalize the experience, each hunter has a separate hunting area on every map:

* **Target list:** Each hunting area displays specific Nex species that inhabit it.
* **Catch quota:** Each Nex species in the pool has a limited number of available units (e.g., up to 3 Nex A). You can attempt unlimited throws until you successfully capture them.
* **Completion status:** Once you reach the required number of a Nex, that target will disappear from the current hunting area.
* **Progress persistence:** When you move to a new map, remaining targets on the previous map are not lost. You can return at any time to continue capturing the remaining Nex in the pool.

| Result               | Description                                                                                              | Status           |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- |
| ✅ **Success** | Successfully captured a Nex ➔ Added to your collection. The target disappears once the quota is reached. | Capsule consumed |
| 🔹 **Fail — Shard** | Capture failed but you receive Shards of that Nex. | Capsule consumed |
| 🔄 **Fail — Return** | Capture failed but the Capsule is recovered. | Returned |
| ❌ **Fail — Nothing** | Capture failed with no rewards received. | Capsule consumed |

🔄 **Pool Refresh (Hunting Area Reset)**

When you’ve captured all key targets or want to discover higher-rarity Nex, you can use the Refresh feature to regenerate your entire target list:

* 🎁 **Special Offer:** The first **2 Refreshes per day are completely FREE**
* 💰 **Fee System:** From the **3rd to 5th refresh**, a GNC fee is charged and increases gradually with each use
* 🚫 **Daily Limit:** Maximum of **5 Refreshes per day**
* ⏰ **Reset Time:** All free attempts and fee levels reset daily at **00:00 UTC**

🛡️ **3.4 Team & Income Optimization (Team Slots)**

In Nex Legends, team management is a key part of every hunter’s strategy. You must directly select and arrange your Nex into the right positions to optimize your income flow.

**Active Slots**

* **Default:** You start with 4 active slots.
* **Expansion:** Can be upgraded up to 8 slots using GNC.
* **Manual Equip:** Players must manually select and assign Nex to these slots.
* **Benefit:** Nex placed in Active Slots contribute **100% of their Yield (daily income)**.

**Reserve Area**

All Nex that are not assigned to Active Slots will automatically be placed in the Reserve area.

* Each Nex in Reserve contributes **10% (×0.1) of its daily Yield**.
* The Reserve area has **unlimited capacity**.

***

\[!IMPORTANT]\
**Importance of Manual Team Management:**\
Manually managing your team not only helps you learn how to optimize earnings (prioritizing higher-rarity Nex in Active Slots), but also prepares you for future advanced strategic features such as the Element System and PvP Arena.

Choosing the right Nex for the right position will be the key to climbing the leaderboard.

**Example: Income Optimization**

Assume you own the following 5 Nex:

* **Selyne (Legendary):** 2.857 TON/day
* **Elphidran (Epic):** 0.533 TON/day
* **Cattiva (Common):** 0.02 TON/day
* **Cattiva (Common) #2:** 0.02 TON/day
* **Cattiva (Common) #3:** 0.02 TON/day

***

### **Case 1: You have 4 Active Slots (Default)**

You should prioritize equipping the strongest Nex into Active Slots:

| Slot            | Equipped Nex     | Calculation  | Actual Income     |
| --------------- | ---------------- | ------------ | ----------------- |
| Slot 1 (Active) | Selyne           | 2.857 × 100% | 2.857 TON         |
| Slot 2 (Active) | Elphidran        | 0.533 × 100% | 0.533 TON         |
| Slot 3 (Active) | Cattiva          | 0.02 × 100%  | 0.02 TON          |
| Slot 4 (Active) | Cattiva (copy 1) | 0.02 × 100%  | 0.02 TON          |
| Reserve         | Cattiva (copy 2) | 0.02 × 10%   | 0.002 TON         |
| **TOTAL**       |                  |              | **3.432 TON/day** |

### **Case 2: You expand to 5 Active Slots (using GNC)**

When you unlock an additional slot, you move the last Cattiva from Reserve into an Active Slot:

**New total income:**

$$
2.857 + 0.533 + 0.02 + 0.02 + 0.02 = \mathbf{3.450\ TON/day}
$$

**Result:**\
Your income increases because no Nex is left in the Reserve area at reduced efficiency (10%).

***

\[!ANALYSIS]\
**Strategic Lesson:**

* Always prioritize your highest-stat Nex (e.g., Selyne) in Active Slots.
* Don’t hesitate to collect many Nex— even in Reserve, they still contribute steadily over time.
* Expanding slots is a smart investment to maximize 100% efficiency from all your owned Nex.

🛠️ **3.5 Shards & Crafting (Fragments & Crafting)**

The Shard system acts as a “safety net” that ensures hunters always make progress. Even when a hunt is unsuccessful, you still collect valuable resources that help you build your future team.

**What are Shards?**

* **Source:** Obtained when you perform a Hunt but fail to capture a Nex (result: *Fail — Shard*).
* **Identity:** Each Shard is tied to a specific Nex species (e.g., Selyne Shards can only be used to craft Selyne).
* **Accumulation:** Shards are stored in your inventory and will never be lost until they are used.

**Crafting Mechanism**

When you collect enough Shards, you can “forge” a complete Nex.

* **Formula:** Required Shards + GNC fee = 1 new Nex
* **Rarity requirement:** Higher rarity Nex require more Shards and higher GNC costs.
* For example, a **Common Nex** needs only a small number of Shards, while a **Mythic Nex** requires significantly more effort and resources.
* **Result:** Once crafting is successful, the Nex will be added to your collection and can be equipped into your team.

🔄 Convert Shards: Need GNC fast? You can Convert unwanted Shards into GNC.

* *Higher rarity Shards grant significantly more GNC.*
* ⚠️ Warning: Conversion is permanent. Think twice before destroying Shards of a Rare or Legendary Nex!
